HR Tech is a 12 week accelerator program specialising in human resources. The program is driven by Slingshotters and covers: Business Modelling (using Ash Mauyra’s Lean Canvas methodology), Traction and customer insights, Branding and marketing, Financial modelling, Pitch coaching and Corporate engagement. There is also an additional three month incubation program focused on driving results, as well as a demo day.
Other key features include seed investment of up to $150,000 from the Slingshot Venture Fund (and the opportunity for next-round investment) and access to business units and senior staff at Seek, Hudson and UTS.
The HR Tech themes are:
– Casualisation of the Workforce – This includes creating shifts in how people will work in the future in addition to new business models on how and where people find work (e.g. sidekicker, workana).
– Employer Insights – This can include verification of education and qualification credentials, criminal record checks, etc. This also has the potential to assist with diversity and inclusion.
– Candidate Experience – This would include bridging the nexus between education and employment. Potentially continues right through to helping current employees identify the right next role via outsourcing.
– Disruptive Technology and Business Models – New solutions and innovation that impacts either side of the market for either employers or candidates that can be delivered via a scalable and cost-effective business model.
